NEW YORK (WABC) -- Authorities have found two young sisters who were missing following a visit with their biological mother.

3-year old Destiny McCoy and 2-year old Tiye Macon had been last seen by their foster parents when they were dropped off for the court-ordered visitation Sunday morning in Brooklyn.

Police say their mother was supposed to have the girls for five hours before returning them in Brownsville, but didn't bring the girls back.

Police reported that the girls were found safe Monday evening.

Details about their recovery are not yet known.
