Police hunting for man who assaulted woman in park in Montclair, New Jersey

MONTCLAIR (WABC) -- Police have released a sketch of a suspect wanted for attacking a woman in a New Jersey park last month.

At about 10:45 p.m. on July 23, police responded to the intersection of Cedar Avenue and High Street in Montclair on a report of a female screaming.

Investigators determined that a 41-year old Newark woman had been assaulted with an unknown weapon inside Nishuane Park.

During the assault she suffered lacerations on her body and was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was last seen traveling south on High St in a newer model red 2-door car.

He is described as tall and in his 40's.
