An 83-year-old woman says a simple greeting led to a violent attack outside her Brownsville apartment building Sunday morning as she waited for an Uber on her way to church.
Emily Omara needs surgery on her broken jaw, and on Thursday, she and her husband are asking police to find the man who broke it with a punch to the side of her face.
The attack happened around 8:40pm on Wednesday inside a commercial building at 139 Flatbush Avenue.
According to the NYPD, the two suspects approached the 82-year-old and punched her multiple times before slamming her to the ground and stomping on her body.
The video, caught on the victim's Nest camera, showed the aide whacking her with a pan and also hitting her repeatedly until she collapsed to the floor.
When she tried to defend herself, she said the woman took her umbrella, broke it in half and cut her in the face.
