NEW YORK -- This weekend, New Yorkers are turning their old Christmas trees into wood chips for gardens in the 19th annual 'MulchFest'.

The Parks Department has set up 30 chipping and 55 drop-off sites.

The trees are becoming mulch to nourish plants on streets and gardens across the city.
