75-year-old man killed while attempting to cross Newark street

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing the street in New Jersey.

Police say the 75-year-old man was attempting to cross Bloomfield Avenue in Newark on Sunday night when he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver remained at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

So far, no charges have been filed.
