Driver sought after Brooklyn hit and run that left woman critically hurt

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for the driver of a BMW who took off after hitting a woman crossing the street in Brooklyn.



It happened Saturday morning on Rodney Street in Williamsburg.



A taxi stopped to let a 27-year-old woman cross the street. Police say the driver of the BMW passed the cab, hitting the woman and then took off.



The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with head trauma and is in critical condition.



The car police are looking for is a grey 2000 BMW 323i, NY License plate # GZY2240.
