CLINTON, Ct. (WABC) -- A small plane has crashed in a residential neighborhood in Connecticut.

The crash occurred about 4 p.m. Saturday in the woods behind Princess Pine Road in Clinton.

An Eyewitness says the pilot was able to walk away from the wreck, but was taken to the hospital.

A town official says the pilot was flying to Orange County, New York, when she radioed that she was running out of gas.

The FAA says they will have investigators on the scene on Sunday to look into what happened.
