Woman struck by truck with snow plow on Long Island

NORTH AMITYVILLE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A woman on Long Island was seriously hurt after being struck by a pick-up truck with a snow plow attached.

It happened earlier Thursday night as the woman was walking on New Highway in North Amityville.

Police say the driver was not plowing at the time of the accident and stayed at the scene.
