PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A Holbrook man was arrested on Long Island for DWI after police chased him Friday night.

According to Suffolk County Police Department, Jordan Levent was driving a BMW and failed to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk at North Ocean Avenue and Main Street in Patchogue around 11:55 p.m.

Police tried to pull him over, but the driver allegedly made a U-turn and Suffolk Police said the BMW ran into a police car. Levent then hit a 2006 Honda at the Waverly Avenue traffic circle, police said.

The BMW eventually stopped but when ordered out of the car, police said Levent sped off onto the Long Island Expressway, going westbound in the eastbound lanes.

The BMW exited off the highway, and police said it allegedly hit an emergency assisting at intersection of Rose Drive and Farmardie Drive in Ronkonkoma.

Jordan Levent, 23, of Holbrook, was taken into custody and taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated and released to police.

The charges against him include reckless endangerment and DWI.
