20-year-old with autism in critical condition after struck by vehicle in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A 20-year-old man with autism is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in New Rochelle.

The accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Cooper Drive.

The victim was taken to Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle and will be transported to Westchester Medical Center.

The driver remained at the scene and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
