Westbound Amtrak/NJ Transit service resumes after trains held at Penn Station

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A person was struck by an Amtrak train in New Brunswick, causing major delays on the North East Corridor.

It happened near Jersey Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Due to the police investigation, all westbound Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains were held in Penn Station, New York.

But westbound service has now resumed, with residual delays expected.
