Humpback whales in Alaska show up really close to marina dock

KETCHIKAN, Alaska (WABC) -- In Ketchikan, Alaska, you don't have to go on a whale-watching tour.

Off a marina dock in Knudson Cove, humpback whales are popping up just feet away.

The whales know the herring they eat have started hiding under the docks and boats for protection, and have started to swim closer to the docks to feed.
