AUSTIN, TX -- A dozen good-looking guys got together for a good cause and -- the best part -- these guys are all half naked. Firefighters, police officers and veterans from Texas stripped down for the 'Heartthrobs and Hound Dogs' calendar, which raises money for shelter/rescue dogs.
The photographer behind the calendar, Ricki Beason wanted to show the world that rescue dogs are just as wonderful as designer dogs.
"These pups are worthy of being seen for their full potential and not to be overlooked because they didn't come from a breeder or pet store," said Beason. "Featuring servicemen with rescue dogs is a great way to bring recognition to both the beauty of dog rescue and to show our appreciation to our firemen, police officers, and veterans."
All the men involved are huge dog lovers, Beason added, and some even have rescue pups of their own.
Lovers of animals and eye candy can come to the Houston calendar launch party to meet the heartthrobs and their hound dogs. The event is September 30 at Revelry on Richmond.
If you think you can handle all these shirtless, hunky heroes, you can pre-order the calendar here.
