NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- A mass shooting in manhattan last Monday night, but this was not your typical gun insanity.

Instead, the killer drove a semi-automatic rifle all the way from Las Vegas to 345 Park Avenue in Midtown.

He went into the high-rise building and started shooting, killing 4 people and wounding a fifth before turning the weapon on himself.

Manhattan joins the growing and epidemic list of u.s. communities hit with mass shootings.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul joins us to talk about the mass shooting, gun laws, and something many people may not know - the stunning number of New Yorkers who will be losing their health insurance under President Trump's new bill.

Up Close airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.
