KEW GARDENS, Queens (WABC) -- A car crashed into a utility pole in Queens early Wednesday, causing a row of poles to topple over like dominoes.

The 4 a.m. incident left power lines strewn across the intersection at Kissena Boulevard and 73rd Avenue Kew Gardens Hills, damaging cars and knocking out electricity.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The intersection will be closed for an extended cleanup.

Con Edison reported that 246 customers lost power near the scene, but service has since been restored.
