TRENTON -- The sole winning $40 million Powerball ticket for the Wednesday night drawing was sold in New Jersey.

The lucky owner will receive $26.9 million before taxes if he or she opts for a lump-sum payment.

The ticket was sold in Bergen County, at Rocklins Stationers on Cedar Lane in Teaneck.

The Lottery has not yet been contacted by the ticket-holder(s), and New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger recommends that the newest multi-millionaire(s) confer with financial and legal advisors prior to claiming the life-changing prize.

Bergen County proved to be a lucky location for another New Jersey Lottery player, who bought a $10,000 third prize-winning ticket at the Montvale Snack Shop on Spring Valley Road in Montvale.

In addition to the $40 million jackpot and the $10,000 third prize, 14,521 New Jersey players took home an estimated $76,566 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Hedinger.

"This is an amazing win for New Jersey, the lucky ticket holders and the retailers," she said. "The revenue that was generated by the Powerball lottery sales preceding this win will help to support vital programs and institutions that serve our residents."

The winning numbers were: 7, 19, 23, 50 and 54 with a Powerball of 14.

The jackpot comes after a winning $50 million jackpot was sold in Tennessee for Saturday's drawing.
