3 arrested in bizarre mortgage scheme in Queens

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Three people are under arrest in Queens, accused of trying to pull off a bizarre mortgage scheme.

Prosecutors say the defendants broke into a home in Jamaica in April and changed the locks.

They allegedly claimed to work for a bank holding Mortgage Company and ordered the homeowners to sign their house over to them in order to gain access to get their belongings.
