UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- He's been a dedicated cobbler on Manhattan's Upper East Side for 50 years.
Now, he's retiring and closing up his beloved shoe repair store on E. 85th Street.
81-year-old Boneventura Di Lorenzo, an Italian immigrant, opened his first shop on the East Side in the 1960s.
Now, after decades of repairing soles and patching holes, friends and family gathered for Di Lorenzo's retirement party.
A special congratulations to "Lorenzo"!
