RIDGEWOOD (WABC) -- Police are reviewing surveillance video to see if there is anything to help solve a string of car break-ins in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Investigators say officers responded to six reports of car break-ins on Heights Road, Crest Road and Sunset Avenue on Monday morning. The vehicles were unlocked and unknown items were taken.

A 2009 Escalade was also stolen from a Sunset Avenue home, police said.

The Ridgewood Police Department is reminding residents to lock all car doors and never leave the keys in the vehicle. Items that may be expensive and vulnerable to theft should not be left in the vehicle.
