PATERSON (WABC) -- An ROTC teacher is accused of sexual misconduct with students at a high school in New Jersey.

Police arrested Sergeant Trevor Sanders on charges of criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say he inappropriately touched two female students at Eastside High School in Paterson and made sexual comments to them.

The investigation began on May 26, when a 16-year-old female reported to police that she had been touched inappropriately by her teacher. Paterson police then uncovered the second student who was also allegedly victimized by Sanders.

Sanders was apprehended Thursday.

The Paterson Board of Education has been cooperating with this investigation, which remains ongoing.

Detectives say it appears that there may be additional victims, and anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is urged to contact Paterson police at 973-321-1120.
