DELAWARE RIVER -- Dramatic video captured the moments a bulk carrier ship in the Delaware River ran aground near the Burlington Bristol Bridge.

It was around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday when the 623 foot steel carrier was traveling south on the Delaware River when it lost propulsion.

Because of the lost propulsion the ship came aground just north of the Burlington Bristol Bridge in Burlington City.

One witness told Action News that it looked like the Titanic was coming at them.

There were no injuries on the ship.

Action News has confirmed that the ship is the "Agia Irini" from Monrovia, Liberia, travelling from Philadelphia to Tampa, Florida.

The Coast Guard has been notified and the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit are investigating.

Witnesses say it took tugboats about 15 to 20 minutes to pull the ship from the mug, point it in the correct direction, and move it downriver.

The ship will be on administrative hold, either anchored or docked, while the incident is investigated.
