'Star Trek' star Leonard Nimoy hospitalized with chest pains

LOS ANGELES (WABC) -- The man known to a generation of science fiction fans as Spock is recovering after a health scare.

Reports say "Star Trek" star Leonard Nimoy was hospitalized in Los Angeles last week with severe chest pains.

His representatives have not said if Nimoy has been released.

However, the 83-year-old actor has been sharing poetry and other thoughts on Twitter.

Nimoy announced last year he has the lung disease COPD.
