World Series history: MLB championship winners, key stats

The first World Series was held in 1903. The first World Series MVP was awarded in 1955. Since then, only four players have won the award multiple times --Sandy Koufax (1963 and 1965), Bob Gibson (1964 and 1967), Reggie Jackson (1973 and 1977) and Corey Seager (2020 and 2023).
