Man in scrubs accused in St. Francis Hospital robbery

FLOWER HILL, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest Tuesday in a burglary at a Long Island hospital.

According to Nassau County Police Department, the suspect, Sean Thomas entered St. Francis Hospital in Flower Hill on Long Island. Thomas is accused of walking to the basement, and removing a master key and identification card from the nurse's station. He then entered the staff lounge where he changed into hospital scrubs.

Thomas is accused of opening offices and then removing an Amazon Kindle and a undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives reported the arrest of Thomas, 24, on June 3.

Thomas is being charged with burglary in the third as well as two counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. Thomas will be arraigned Thursday in Hempstead.
