Teen nearly struck by lightning in Syosset driveway

SYOSSET (WABC) -- It was a close call for a teenager on Long Island who was nearly struck by lightning.

14-year-old Karly Morgan was washing her moto-cross bike in the driveway of a friend's house in Syosset on Saturday morning. She says she heart thunder, but was not concerned about lightning, because it wasn't raining. Suddenly, there was a blinding flash.

Karly was able to run to the garage immediately after the incident. She was shaken up, but not injured by the close call with the lightning.
