Police: Allegedly drunk teen drove because grandma 'too drunk'

SANTA FE, New Mexico (WABC) -- Police in Santa Fe, New Mexico pulled over an alleged drunk driver who was just 13 years old.

Officers say the reason why the teen was driving in the first place is because his grandmother in the backseat was too drunk to drive herself.

The grandmother was arrested on charges including child abuse.

The teen will also face charges of DWI and driving without a license.
