HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) -- If you're looking for a sugar plum fairy or dancing toy soldiers, the city is full of them this time of year.
But, this season, the Apollo Theater is telling a different Christmas story.
Saturday marks the first of 10 performances of a musical that could become a holiday classic.
It's hoped "The First Noel" can be for Harlem, what the "Christmas show" is to Radio City Music Hall.
Last year the show was performed at a venue within the Apollo called "The Soundstage," but this year, "The First Noel" is moving to the famous main stage at the historic venue.
