VIDEO: Coast Guard rescued leatherback sea turtle off Montauk

MONTAUK, N.Y. (WABC) -- New video captured a turtle rescue by the Coast Guard station in Montauk.

A leatherback sea turtle was in Fort Pond Bay, tangled in a lobster pod line.

The line was around the turtle's neck and fin, and was getting tighter.

Crew members were able to cut the line and free the turtle unharmed.
