16-year-old killed, 19-year-old wounded when Bronx argument ends in gunfire

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Bronx (WABC) -- A teenager was killed when gunfire broke out in the Bronx late Thursday.

Police say 16-year-old Justin Morris was shot at least twice in the back on Jerome Avenue in University Heights just before 11 p.m.

Detectives say he was part of two groups that got into an argument.

Morris died at the scene.

A 19-year-old is recovering at St. Barnabas Hospital from three gunshot wounds, two to the back and one to the buttocks.

There are no arrests at this time, and the investigations in ongoing.
