The shooting happened just after 6:30 a.m. outside 1901 Hennessy Place.
Nine civilians were injured, including a 79-year-old woman who is in critical condition, after a fire broke out at an apartment building in the Bronx on Tuesday, according to officials.
The woman, a smoke shop owner, was grazed, but a 43-year-old man was shot once in the back and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical but stable condition.
