NEW YORK -- Sherri Shepherd of ABC-TV's "The View" and author of best seller "Plan D: How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes (Even If You Don't Have It)" will join WABC-TV's Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter, and thousands of people with and without disabilities.



WHAT:


YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge, 8:30 a.m. - noon


Thomas A. Dern 5K Run, 9 a.m. start (Named in memory of our C.O.O.)


3K Fundraising Walk, 9:45 a.m .start


Children's Play Area, open 9 a.m. - noon


Junior All-American Races, ages 2-12, 10:45 a.m. lineup



WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2014



WHERE: Central Park, near the Naumburg Bandshell, 72nd St. transverse



WHY: "Changing the World is a Walk in the Park." The Central Park Challenge is much more than a fundraiser; it is an opportunity to educate society that no one should be judged or labeled based on their deficits. The individuals who receive support from YAI are no different. Each of us wants the same basic things in life - a nice place to live, friendships and relationships and a good job.
