Black ice sends car sliding through 2 towns

Reportedly slid about 300 feet
NEW JERSEY Eyewitness News is told the vehicle went out of control in Midland Park, sliding about 300 feet on an icy street, just before 1 a.m.

It crashed through several street signs on Crescent Avenue before crashing into bushes in front of a house in neighboring Waldwick.

Officials say the driver was injured and taken to an area hospital. Black ice was being eyed as the cause of the crash.

Waldwick police said all of their roads have been sanded.

Also, dozens of accidents were reported on Interstate 287 and Interstate 80 in northern New Jersey. Most were one-car spinouts. No fatalities were reported.
