The 30-year-old woman was reportedly entering her apartment on Wednesday afternoon when a man forced his way in by threatening her 2-month-old infant. Apparently, several other men who were hiding on the stairwell, also entered the apartment.
Police say the men tied her up, burned her and punched her as they demanded cash and jewelry. The woman was treated at a hospital and released.
There was no immediate response from police as to why there was so much cash in the apartment.
