Man arrested on weapons charges

SLOATSBURG, N.Y. - Among them, handguns and rifles that police say were owned illegally.

Fifty-seven-year old Henry Kroll was arrested on Sunday. Police say he threatened three men delivering a new stove to his home in Sloatsburg.

Kroll allegedly became upset when the workers told him only a licensed plumber could disconnect the old stove.

He had been making renovations because he is trying to rent out his house. Mary Tietz said she had signed a lease to move into Kroll's house next week.

He was planning to move to China to be with the woman who he married two years ago.

Neighbors say Kroll's wife was denied a visa and that he planned to live in China for two years in an attempt to cut through the red tape.

Kroll's international romance may have to wait while Kroll fights criminal charges stateside.
