Ray Levier who nearly died as a child has been reunited with Neo, his beloved pet that had been missing for over a month.
Levier adopted Neo from a rescue shelter in Rockland three months ago.
A greyhound mix that's skittish by nature, Neo got spooked and ran off in Harriman State Park during a hike, and that led to an all out search that almost defied logic.
The 39-year old professional jazz drummer has exhibited a fighting spirit ever since being given little chance of surviving severe burns he suffered as a child.
Levier set up two traps and Sunday workers at the United Water Facility called him with the good news. Neo had been captured.
Neo is in good health, and even seems more confident.
The Levier's are only half kidding when they say they're considering changing his name to lucky.
