The Gizmodo gallery of gadgets

NEW YORK The gallery has several dozen items on display. There are some you've never seen before, and others will require you to think back to a time long ago, like the 60s or 70s, when computers weren't everywhere, let alone in your pocket.

For example, they have an animal-print taser.

You can also see the evolution of products, like a music player a bit bigger than your iPod Nano. They also have the first ever type of Web cam.

And there's no mess with the automatic pancake maker. It makes perfect pancakes every time.

There is an interactive mirror that puts a new face on looking at yourself, and Jackson Pollack-esque robots. You can check out a 3-D Etch-a-Sketch, with special glasses required.

There are prototypes and relics, and things of the near future - an electric motorcycle, for example.

The Gizmodo gallery is open through Sunday, and it's free. For more information, visit Gizmodo.com.
