4-alarm fire in Brooklyn injures 2 firefighters

BROOKLYN The fire broke out around 2:15 a.m. in a Chinese restaurant on the first floor of the six-story building on Myrtle Avenue near Adelphi Street in the Fort Greene section.

The fire quickly spread to other floors in the building.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Several residents were also displaced.

The source of the fire was in the duct work located in the ceiling, causing the fire to spread to the second and third floors.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
