LIRR adding sundown trains for religious needs

November 9, 2010 3:39:18 AM PST
The Long Island Rail Road is adding "sundown" trains to accommodate passengers with religious needs.

Starting next Monday and continuing through March, the railroad will have additional eastbound trains on the Far Rockaway and Port Washington branches.

The additional trains are a response to requests from passengers who must be home before sundown for religious observances.
