The organizers of a two day adopt a pet extravaganza at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea want you to know that there aren't many better gifts, for yourself or your family, than adopting a loveable pet.
The cats, dogs and even a few rabbits are from more than two dozen local rescue groups.
The event is called "Whiskers in Wonderland" and started Saturday.
It continues Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
