Both grew up in New Jersey and their new book, "Jersey Girls," shows there's more to Jersey than /*Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi*/.
So they highlight some of the stars from Jersey, including /*Dionne Warwick*/ and /*Kelly Ripa*/. And then there's a discussion of important things like hair styles, jimmies- not sprinkles on your ice cream, salt water taffy, and of course the beaches.
There are pictures to go with everything, so that you don't associate New Jersey with just the turnpike- but that you think about its people.
Neither author still lives in New Jersey, but both say they're sad about that. This book allows them a chance to "represent" as they say, showing that the nation's fifth smallest state has a lot to show for itself.
