New York City held a first of its kind summit Monday night, urging kids to stop to cyber-bullying.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn hosted the event.

She was joined by representatives from companies like Facebook, Microsoft and MTV.

There was also a panel of students who talked about their experiences with online bullying.

They even gave advice on how to put a stop to it.

The best advice experts have for parents is to check your child's computer history often, so that you know what sites their visiting.
