In his State of the City address, New York City Mayor Bloomberg laid out plans to bypass the union and kick out bad teachers.

It's one of many ideas to turn around city schools. The union is already vowing to fight the mayor.

Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott and Deputy Mayor Howard Wolfson defend the mayor's plans.

After heavy community opposition, there is another push to redevelop the Kingsbridge armory and create jobs.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., who blocked the original redevelop plan, says he's on board this time.
