The incident happened close to midnight during a showing of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, at the Concourse Plaza Multiplex on East 161st Street in the /*Melrose*/ section of the /*Bronx*/.
Both officers suffered head injuries.
Police have the fighting couple in custody.
No word on charges, but police tell Eyewitness News that each one has at least 30 prior arrests.
