Vicky Cooke, Executive Director of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, explains, "Great Stuff is three years old. It just grew and we needed to get more space and so we decided to open Great Stuff Home."
Barbara Eckels, Manager of Great Stuff Home, says, "Folks can find anything from a small little accent piece to a fabulous-looking sofa to some great wing chairs, accent tables, there's something here for everybody."
Amongst the donated stock, we found items like a dining table with two leaves, six chairs and a hutch for $2900, brass table lamps for $65, a mod kitchen set for $995, and 10 placesettings of Sango china with serving pieces for $125.
Eckels says, "You're paying a lot less than retail, at least 30%-50% off of retail."
Everything in the store is displayed so that you can picture in your own home. And to get items home, you can take advantage of the store's delivery service.
She adds, "We've partnered with Hopkins and Sons, so we have a very good relationship with them. Their owner is on our board of directors, so it's been great, and their people are fabulous."
And while you can beautify your home with gently used pieces at discounted prices, you're also helping a great cause.
Cooke explains,"We provide programs and services to women throughout the state, so Great Stuff is a revenue-generating arm for DBCC."
