But these aren't just any cakes.
They have custom designs that would make any child smile.
Icing Smiles works with a national network of specialty cake bakers and matches them with eligible children in all 50 states, Canada and Holland.
Their goal is to create spectacular custom cakes for sick children, or their sibling, that provide a temporary escape from worry and create a positive memory during a difficult time.
Icing Smiles has since provided cakes to thousands of children across the country. "We understand that the simple things, like a birthday cake, are luxuries to a family battling illness," said Tracy Quisenberry, founder and Executive Director for Icing Smiles. "What we provide is so much more than cake. We serve up a reason to smile."
