1 dead, 1 injured after cars collide in Washington Heights

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS (WABC) -- A driver running lights while southbound on Amsterdam Avenue crashed in Washington Heights Monday morning, killing a passenger.

The driver collided with a car westbound on West 157th Street just before 5 a.m.

The passenger in the southbound car was killed. The driver is hospitalized.

The crash is under investigation.
