NEWARK Officials believe the 793 Bloods is a newly formed Bloods set It allegedly originated as a 93 Bloods set, with the 793 Bloods being formed early in 2007.
Authorities say the 793 Bloods is an organization whose leaders authorize and direct its members to commit acts of violence and intimidation in order to assert and maintain control over drug territories in Essex County, specifically in Newark between South 11th Street to South 20th Street and from Avon Avenue to Madison Avenue.
Officials say the arrests were the most recent results of a multi-year investigation.
Sixteen previous arrests have been made within the past two years during this investigation, according to authorities. The previous arrests were also on drug-related charges, as well as weapons and armed robbery charges. To date, officials say a total of 23 gang members have been arrested.
The 793 Bloods who were ranking leaders of the gang that have been apprehended to date are:

Sharif Williams - Drug Conspiracy - Attempt and Conspiracy to distribute

Catrina Craft - Crack Distribution - distribute a controlled substance

Tiffany Jones - Crack Distribution - distribute a controlled substance
Barbara Manning - Armed Robbery - Interference with Commerce with threat of Violence
Rahman Monroe - Crack Distribution - distribute a controlled substance
Joshua Pierre - Triggerlock - Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

In addition to the arrests, authorities say the investigation, which has been on-going since early 2006, has also yielded the recovery of illegal drugs, guns and automobiles.
Officials say the current subjects have been arrested after an extensive investigation which relied heavily on the use of controlled drug purchases, court authorized wire-taps and confidential sources.
Still at large, authorities say, are Alshatee Green, Aquil Horne and Ernest Riggins.
