Clinton and Obama go one-on-one tonight

HOLLYWOOD - AP John Edwards dropped out yesterday.

The two remaining Democrats have taken more swipes at each other in advance of tonight's debate. Obama said yesterday that a Clinton presidency would be a step back to the 20th century, a reference to President Bill Clinton's pledge to build a bridge to the 21st Century.

Clinton, in a reply to The Associated Press, makes a reference to Obama's book, "The Audacity of Hope." In her words, "that certainly sounds audacious, but not hopeful." Clinton says the candidates should get back to the issues.
