And the queen of the ugly Christmas sweater just might be Ann Marie Blackman of Vermont.
She doesn't take offense. In fact she takes pride in creating the ugliest sweaters imaginable.
Her home-based company is even called My Ugly Christmas Sweater Inc.
Business is so good that she needs a warehouse to store all her raw material.
"You really can't make a mistake when you're decorating an ugly Christmas sweater," said Blackman. "There are never too many bells on a sweater. Never too much fringe."
Blackman's sweaters start at around $35 for the just plain ugly, and run to about $80 for the truly hideous.
