Lauren Spierer parents hold onto hope

SCARSDALE, N.Y.

Lauren Spierer from Westchester County vanished after she left a bar near Indiana University.

Rabbi Stephen Klein says Robert and Charlene Spierer might derive some hope from Monday's miracle happy ending in Cleveland.

For nearly two years, the couple from Scarsdale has been desperately trying to solve the disappearance of their daughter Lauren.

Recently the Spierer's were guests on the "Katie" show.

Lauren was a 20-year-old junior at Indiana University when she vanished in 2011.

She had been out partying with friends off campus.

The Spierer's have long believed two male friends she was with are not telling everything they know.

This weekend, Spierer's college class graduated, but the Scarsdale native was remembered at the commencement ceremony.

The Spierer's had no public comment Tuesday, but Charlene did tweet: "Every day we hope someone will come forward. Every day we hope for answers. Today is no different. Just as determined."
